Celebrating National Happiness Happens Day
On August 8th, we will be celebrating National Happiness Happens Day. On this day we hope to spread the feeling of happiness, and help individuals look at life on the bright side. So, what is happiness, and how can you achieve it? Happiness is often seen as an individual being in a positive mood, a state of well-being that leads to living a good life, and a feeling of deep contentment. Happiness is something that has been studied by scientists and psychologists for many years, and there continues to be growing research around this subject.
Here is a list of 10 things that have been linked to feeling happy:
- Keeping a log of what you are grateful for.
- Exercise by going for a walk or going on a hike.
- Meditation and mindfulness.
- Reading a book.
- Getting outside, getting fresh air and soaking up some sun.
- Listening to music.
- Setting goals that you know you can achieve.
- Writing your feelings down.
- Volunteer.
- Make time for friends and family.
