Hi! My name is Molly-Mae, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from UNC Charlotte. I have experience working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of settings, including emergency and inpatient hospitalization, community based outpatient, intensive in-home services, and private practice. In my current practice, I typically work with children, adolescents, and young adults aged 5-25, and also enjoy connecting and collaborating with families.

I began my career in the field as a consumer of mental health services myself. These experiences have remained central in my work and allow me to truly connect and build relationships with the children, adolescents, and families I work with. My therapeutic approach is largely strengths-based and person centered. I enjoy personalizing interventions to match each client’s individual needs, and have experience incorporating a variety of approaches into sessions, including child centered play therapy, art therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.

A core belief of my therapeutic approach is that genuine human connection is a powerful catalyst for healing and growth. This sense of security fosters openness and encourages clients to express themselves authentically, laying the foundation for deep emotional growth and resilience. Through these nurturing connections, we are able to develop trust, form healthy attachments, and build self-esteem—all of which contribute significantly to overall mental wellness.

I am excited to connect, help uncover strengths, and to support building a life in which you thrive!
