Welcome to Simply Thrive! I am so happy you are here.
My name is Charly Fulp, and I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from North Carolina State University and master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I have experience working with pre-teens, teens, and adults dealing with anxiety and panic attacks, ADD/ADHD, depression, life transitions, obsessions and compulsions, relationship difficulties, and stress. I have also recently completed training in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), which is an auditory intervention that works to calm the nervous system. To learn more, feel free to check out our “SSP” page.
Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or this road is familiar to you, I am proud of you for taking a step toward healing. My hope is that you would feel known and accepted in whatever season of life you might be facing.
Your story is unique, powerful, and of great value. There are likely pages in your book that signify hardship. You may have just landed on one of those pages, or maybe you have been re-reading pages in your past for quite some time. My goal as your counselor will be to come alongside you to support you as you navigate the challenging pieces of your life. Counseling is a collaborative process where you and I will work together so that you can go back to living life to the fullest.
I believe your thoughts and beliefs play a large part in shaping your emotions and behaviors, which is why I often use techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice. We will work together as a team to come up with ways to put a stop to dysfunctional thought patterns that often lead to negative outcomes. I desire to understand what you are experiencing and help you work toward establishing and accomplishing your goals.
I look forward to meeting you!
