Hi there and welcome! I’m Christina Dungan and I look forward to working with you on your therapeutic journey.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate, working with adults, couples, and leading small groups. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social work, BA in Psychology, and certificates in CBT and Mediation from the University of Akron in Ohio. My AA in Psychology was obtained at Cuyahoga Community College. I have been working in the mental health field since 2015. I started as a case manager, working with children, teens, and adults in-home for 7 years, and now as a licenced therapist since 2023. Across my career I have been able to work with diverse cultures, disabilities, mental disorders, and life situations, approaching all from an inclusive, trauma-informed perspective.

My goal is to provide a calm, non-judgmental, and safe space to allow you to address your needs at your own pace. I approach therapy from an analytical, educational, and solution-focused style and will support and validate, but also challenge and problem solve as needed. I primarily practice CBT methods, but also heavily use DBT, guided meditation, Gottman methods with couples. and other activities and books. I like to provide suggestions on what interventions may be helpful and then allow you to choose what is best for you. After all, it’s your session!

Despite the challenges clients endure, I value and admire the vulnerability, trust, resiliency, and growth I see them make each day. No matter where we’re starting at, I am looking forward to being the therapist to help you achieve your goals. It will be difficult, but we’ll do it together. I hope you feel empowered to put yourself first and start on this therapeutic journey. Again, welcome; I look forward to meeting you!
