As a therapist, I will offer you a secure space to process your thoughts and emotions.  Together, we will work to build your strengths, overcome blocks, and resolve issues.  I believe all clients have the capacity to heal, given the right tools.  I work with several modalities, including DBT, CBT, motivational interviewing, and EMDR.  My core principles are empathy, non-judgment, and acceptance.  I believe in the absolute worth of all my clients and seek to give partnership and support in resolving core issues.

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, and throughout my training I have counseled children, teens, adults, and seniors.  I enjoy working with a variety of clients and treat each person as the unique individual that they are.  Together we will set feasible goals and strategize ways to meet them, incorporating new ways to experience joy and fun along the way.  Some of the issues I specialize in are depression, anxiety, life transitions, and self-esteem.  I work with EMDR to process traumatic memories that are impacting everyday life, allowing clients to move forward in new ways after being held back.  Seeking therapy for the first time can feel intimidating or uncomfortable, and I’m here to guide you in the process and support you along the way.
