Hi there! My name is Janice Cuaresma, and I am a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Northwestern University. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Boston University, where I also majored in business administration. Though I transitioned recently from digital marketing into mental health counseling, during my tenure as a manager I fostered growth and development within my diverse teams by understanding each individual’s career goals and unique skill set. Moreover, I have personally dealt with chronic disease, depression, unhealthy work environments, and unexpected life transitions.
As a therapist-in-training, I want to use your strengths and equip you with additional tools to help you achieve your goals. For instance, we will collaborate and determine ways to reduce your anxiety and stress and make your day-to-day activities a bit more manageable while finding healthier ways to cope. Understanding that each person is different, I cater my approach to fit your needs.
In short, I provide adults with support and hope during difficult times within a nurturing space. I welcome the opportunity to learn about you and help improve your well-being.
