Hello, I’m Robin Rutledge, and I’m thrilled to join the team at Simply Thrive Therapeutic Associates as a counselor. As a compassionate and dedicated professional, I’m committed to supporting you on your path to emotional well-being. My passion for caring for others and building relationships led me to now pursue a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, following a fulfilling career as a speech language pathologist and raising 3 children.
Whether you’re new to therapy or have previous experience, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment where you can freely express your concerns. With a genuine and
empathetic approach, I bring warmth and understanding to our work together. I believe
counseling is a collaborative process, and I will listen attentively, validate your experiences, and utilize my clinical expertise to inform our sessions.
I understand the importance of confidentiality and approach our sessions with a nonjudgmental attitude. Embracing a holistic view of wellness, I appreciate the significance of leveraging your strengths to facilitate growth and healing. And if we can share a bit of laughter along the way, I believe it can be wonderfully therapeutic.
My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal relationship
challenges, trauma, self-esteem issues, and parenting, among others. I have personal
experience seeking support during life transitions and managing physical pain that severely
impacted my mood. I am so grateful for the assistance I received during those times.
In therapy, I adopt a cognitive-behavioral approach that recognizes the importance of common factors that contribute to therapeutic success. I firmly believe that developing new ways of thinking and behaving can profoundly impact your mental health. Additionally, I am deeply interested in the latest research and approaches to healing from trauma.
Outside of counseling, I cherish spending time with friends, especially when we’re eating chips and salsa at my favorite Mexican restaurant. I also find joy in the adventure of thrift shopping, and often enjoy a walk in the fresh air with my family.
I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to meet you and be a part of your wellness journey.
