Hello, my name is Angela, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. My thirst for knowledge and dedication to helping others led me to pursue further education, culminating in a Masters in School Administration and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.

With over two decades of experience working closely with young people and their families, I have developed a deep understanding of the intricate challenges they face in navigating the academic, behavioral, and social aspects of their lives. My background includes ten years of serving as a high school administrator, where I gained invaluable insights into the unique struggles and pressures young individuals and families encounter.

I utilize various counseling techniques including Narrative Therapy, a powerful approach that empowers individuals to confront and overcome difficult times by identifying and actively working toward their goals. My counseling philosophy is rooted in a strengths-based approach, which serves as a solid foundation for personal growth and development.

One of my greatest passions lies in working collaboratively with families to enhance communication skills and cultivate success strategies. I firmly believe that effective communication within the family unit is key to fostering healthy relationships and navigating life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.

Additionally, for those who seek it, I offer a faith-based approach to counseling, providing guidance and support in navigating life’s journey through a lens of faith and spirituality.

I am committed to providing a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where individuals and families can explore their stories, strengths, and aspirations. Together, let’s embark on a journey of healing, growth, and transformation.
